About me
Hanna Lavrentsova, podologist in Buffalo Grove

I have been a podologist since 2019. In Buffalo Grove I see adults, seniors and children from birth. I speak English, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish.
How I came to podology
Before podology I worked in anesthesiology and intensive care, then in pediatric medicine.
Education
- medical training and a university degree in biology;
- postgraduate studies in podology — Niepubliczna Wyższa Szkoła Medyczna (private medical college) in Wrocław, Poland, 2020;
- diplomas evaluated in the US by ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators);
- courses: nail correction systems, nail reconstruction, specialized foot care.
I have also taught nail technicians how to work safely, how to recognize changes on the feet and when to send a client to a specialist.

How I work
I look for the cause, not only the visible sign. A problem that keeps coming back usually has a reason in the shape of the nail or in the shoes, and that is where we start. How the foot feels matters more than how it looks.
I do not take on cases that need surgery, or foot care where a person with diabetes has open wounds. In that case I tell you directly and suggest where to go.
